Art day!! I just love it when we get time to do some art. Carla Sonheim's lesson in Life Book has kept us busy for weeks! We played with chalk pastels, gesso, watercolours, words, washi tape, collage, imaginary flowers, imaginary animals - so much fun! Still, it was great to have the sense of satisfaction of finishing the project. I think Shannon and I are both really pleased with how they turned out.
I had so much fun doing art this weekend, including finishing off this LifeBook lesson of a page pocket for the little cards of drawings, animals and flowers. I totally loved how it turned out, and found use for a few of my origami kites!

With Reg's severance coming in and finding out we should be getting regular income in about two weeks, we have officially started doing the check list for selling the house. Our stager said we needed two tall lamps for the bedroom and voila! And they were on sale for half off. It feels weird buying stuff after living like monks for a couple of months now. We are doing the buying now while my back heals and then hopefully start painting to get the house ready to show. OMG! All of a sudden I feel like this is all really going to happen! And I am excited. Woot!

What lesson are you both on? I am so envious! I love that you get art day. And what the heck is washi tape? The art looks amazing and yay to using your origami Shannon!!!
This is lesson #3, Suzie. Carla's lesson had lots of parts to it, including making this folder page to put all the other bits and bobs in.
Washi tape is decorative tape. It's the zebra print on my page and the polka dots on Shannon's. It's really fun to play with.
Those lamps look awesome. I love them, Suzie. I know it can be overwhelming but it's awesome that you can actually get to move on, well, making your move!
I'm so curious about the advice you got from your stager!
Oh man, I must have missed that part of Carla's lesson! I remember drawing a lot. Oh yes, decorative tape is awesome. I have purple duct tape that would work!
Thanks Jamie, I am thrilled with the lamps. It feels weird to be buying this stuff in some ways because of other people but the nice thing is we get to buy stuff we like and keep it, LOL.
The most important thing we learned about the stager is to: declutter (I am going to be putting a lot of kitchen stuff into storage or donating it) and to have an accent colour which we didn't have before. We have decided to go with beach/nature colours so beige, brown and blue. Especially bright blue. And next to zero window treatments to make sure we get as much light in the house as possible. We are going to be turning my crafts room into a bedroom soon which is sad for me but necessary. People want bedrooms.
Yep, this was week 3 and it was in the 2nd video for that week (after the ones with the fast drawings, imaginary flowers, etc). It was so much fun. And I wasn't super convinced I would enjoy this part, but I really did :)
It was so much fun to do and I had a sneaky suspicious you'd also have an art day pic Jamie! It's wild to see things from your side of the table :)
Awesome you found lamps at 1/2 off Suzie, and sounds like you are getting lots of good advice from the stager. Hopefully it will be a magic touch!
