I have been so incredibly absent. It feels lovely to arrive back here under the Willow Tree. I feel like lying down in the green grass and looking up into its branches, listening the the breeze play with its sweeping arms. It really has been quite a time. I've been thinking about how in the chaos, a little moment of beauty can warm your heart.

From changing the bobbin, the foot of the embroidery machine, threading it, finding the right hoop at the right angle, getting the files to upload to the machine… Auntie Laima and I had quite the creative workout on Skype yesterday but it paid off. Well, it's good we are going a test because I picked the wrong colour but one layer is complete! That was all we could do today but it was a fantastic (tad exhausted for both of us) start. I learned a ton! This photo is of the moment it actually started to embroider. It was so amazing! I could never have done this without her help. What a creative maverick she is!

Wow, that's impressive, Suzie! How wonderful that you and Auntie Laima are on this adventure together. It's amazing to see how much you're learning - and what you're creating! WTG!
It is so nice to have you here Jamie and I am glad that it brings you to another "a special place" under our tree. And thank you for sharing that photo. I pinned it! :)
Auntie Laima and I are having so much fun working on these projects together. They're stressful but in a good way. We takes lots of long breaths and celebrate the wins together.
(Belated) welcome back Jamie! Sounds like it was lovely and relaxing where you were :)
I'm so glad you've been able to work with the embroidery machine Suzie, and that Auntie Laima has been able to help so much! It's makes such a huge difference to have someone to help when you are just learning how to machinary or any art or craft. So fabulous.
