What a joy to get out and pick up a tree! It was a wonderful experience. They are always so friendly and warm at the place we go. They even delivered it to our door! The house now officially smells like Christmas.

I seem to be really centred on food-ish-pics these days! And here is the one and only step I could not complete last night to make dinner: opening cans! Thankfully Jamie came to my rescue!

I got totally caught up in catching up with emails (although still not caught up) and then all of a sudden, there was no daylight left. I still put together a batch of homemade hot chocolate mix and hope the sun comes out today so I can get some nice photos of it. Would make for a great gift but mostly, well, I ran out of hot chocolate mix and I'm cheap! I wanted to see if homemade from scratch was better. And less expensive. I will let you know. I couldn't have any because I had to wait to take photos today!

I'm so curious to hear how your homemade hot chocolate mix turns out Suzie! And I totally understand getting caught by catching up on stuff, I am so in the land of that this week! I just keep going and hope I'm making progress!
Did you have a hard time with the electric can opener Shannon? They really can be quite tricky.

That was such a delicious meal, Shannon! And so awesome to come home to after getting out for the tree. It feels like this was the night the holidays began!

I totally can not use an electric can opener at all. I like the really big clamp down on both sides than crank with your hand style. I have one that really works for me, but it's in storage. Jamie was sweet enough to open the dinner cans for me!
