Jamie
The first night of choir for the new year! It was packed with an enthusiastic crowd for Justin Bieber. Afterwards an impromptu dance party ensued! It was just what I  needed.

Shannon

I didn't take many pics yesterday, but I did snag this cute duo and their awesome silhouette at the window that I got to see while I was doing my morning pages. Not like I was watching them being cute instead of morning pages... no.. that wouldn't *never* happen!

Jamie

I know it's just a stationary order but wow, what a treat. Now I feel all set with some of my very favourite and most used supplies. That's the way to start the new year!

Shannon

I've decided to start a new email strategy, or actually finally clearing the slate to start from here on in and that is to mark all my unread emails as read. I am pretty sure I don't have anything important, so I'm not to stressed about it but rather looking forward to enjoying reading and responding to the email I do receive. I'm also taking the opportunity to unsubscribe from things that aren't a good fit either by email or on my YouTube. Here's hoping this leads to more engaging conversations in year ahead.

Suzie

It was a very long and challenging day for me but we did, we finally saw Star Wars and I cried three times. I can't believe how much I wanted to see the movie and was so relieved when I finally did and I loved it.

Jamie

Nothing says back to regular life like laundry! Plus, I spent all day in the studio catching up on things and trying to get things started. It's amazing just how quickly it can feel like there's not enough time. I'm trying to bring some of the gentle pace of the holidays with me and trust the process.

Shannon

And ... the schedule has come back to normal, and with it comes the return of morning pages. I took most of the holidays off from morning pages, and I toyed with the idea of not doing them, or doing something else as an alternate, but I am not quite ready to give them up yet. It was nice to come back to them as a practice. I didn't think that I would feel that way, but I did! I'm going to stick with them for now.

Jamie

This weekend I really spent my time enjoying the last of the holiday and getting the studio ready for my return. I have also been having such a great time working in my journal in a new style, combining the fauxbonichi approach I've been enjoying so much and a bunch of other things I've loved for a while - creating little boxes for content, gluing images in, drawing. I'm really having such a good time keeping this journal on my desk and creating in it throughout the day.

Shannon

I used to find it so crazy that there were so many new TV shows that came out at all times of year, but I think now I am just going to roll with that it's more options to enjoy! That being said, there is an epic amount of new and returning stuff to TV this week. I really hope The Shannara Chronicles is good, that would be such a win if it is!

Jamie

It has been super grey for days and getting colder too. We've had some light dusting of snow, which is pretty, but the grey, oh, the grey! Luckily, we've been tucked in and cozy as the holidays are coming to an end. We've been watching movies, doing some gaming and, of course, eating up the last of the treats and enjoying kitten cuddles!

Shannon

Getting back into some habits with it being the New Year 'n all, and one I dove into without even thinking to hard (or planning to hard) about it was physio. Here's to a strong 2016 ahead!

Suzie

Went to a dinner party at Reg's sifu's place last night and I brought my cinnamon buns. We had the craziest icy foggy drive out there but it was worth it. Lots of fun but man, I am peopled-out. This introvert needs a rest.

Jamie

A snowy and colder day. It's like winter arrived right after Christmas this year. We've been having such a good holiday! Yesterday I finished up my Vision Cards and we also watched a movie and played a game. We had wonderful chicken soup that Shannon made for dinner. And there have been lots of kitten play and cuddles. I still am amazed that we can be curled up cozy and loving with the kittens. We've come so far! Here's to a magical new year.

Shannon

Started off the new year with some soup! I added parsnip for the first time, and it's quite a nice flavour (especially since I forgot to add the can of peas! eep!).

Jamie

Happy New Year! It looks like we all needed some time off for the holidays. I found myself tucked away from the online world, bringing my energy back home and getting ready for the year ahead. I was so glad to be able to spend my regular time with creating Vision Cards for the New Year. It's amazing how clear my focus areas have become over the years. I had such a good time hanging out with them for New Year's!

Shannon

I've traditionally liked to sum things up about the previous year before heading into the next, but this year I'm finding the transition period to be a bit more fluid and a little less restrictive. And I am really enjoying the more relaxed pace of that. The first thing I did was look at My Year in Books, and it was a really great reading year with lots of books read and lots of good learning along the way. I think I've settled into a good rhythm of both books I enjoy for enjoyments sake, and books that stretch my reading horizons. Both of these things are important to me, so I'm glad they are both happening.

Suzie

We had an epic five course dinner at Storm Crow Tavern for New Year's Eve and got to listen to harp music, a singer and flautist and eat turkey legs. It was amazing.
