Jamie

I'm so glad I felt well enough for Journal Club and that my voice held out exactly long enough. I am so loving this hour together on Fridays!

Suzie

Was hoping for a day off today to do what I want but things change. I did get some time to try and make some of my own thyme oil that I want to use on a potential thyme amulet. First time I played with my air hardening clay at home. Had a lot of failures but some successes. Really trying to fit time in for Suzie stuff but back pain got me and I had to rest a lot of the afternoon.

Jamie

Yesterday I took a bit of gentle time at the computer. I've signed up for a photography class and had a really interesting time thinking about my history with photography and how that ties me to Mom.

Shannon

I got through 2 more boxes yesterday, both of CDS and it's interesting to see that there are different times in my life I bought music...and then there are times where I didn't at all. It took me longer than I thought it would to make decisions and figure out how to organize stuff, but when I got to what felt good (for now), I broke into Just Dance 2016 and grooved to a few songs to celebrate decisions made.

Suzie

Today was our last clay class. I only got to glaze one plate last week but Hot Orchid rocks. I did a ton of fast glazing today so next week when we get our open studio orientation I will have a ton done and still have more to glaze. I absolutely can not believe how much we did and learned in this class. They're having an advanced glazing class this summer and I'm getting my name on the list and so are a lot of my classmates who I really like. Fingers crossed this journey doesn't end here!

Jamie

I continue to feel horrible and spent the whole day in bed. It was nice to have Escher keep me company for almost all of it! He really can be a lovely quiet and close presence.

Shannon

Snow in April. I'm unimpressed.

Suzie

Did some photography of my jewelry and used a background I painted myself. Not sure I like it as much as the wood but not too bad for the photo of these earrings I made. Turns out pink backdrops do not work for food, LOL.

Jamie

I am feeling super impatient with being sick but my head is so congested that there really is not very much that I can manage to do. Luckily, I have the kittens to keep me company. Look at Scout and Escher being all cute!

Shannon

Early in the day I totally had a moment where my eye was drawn to red fluttering at the window, and when I raced over I saw it was a cardinal! It was so happy I caught a picture of it before it flew away. What a beauty!

Suzie

Had an awesome time chatting with Shannon! Totally cheered me up. So did this massive salad I made for lunch (I appear to be incapable of making small salads). I had never used Mom's Caesar salad dressing on a tuna salad before and it was fantastic. I did have to lie down because of my migraine but thankfully it has finally dissolved.

Jamie

I wanted to do a little work on my series so I could share it when we recorded stART. Too bad I woke up feeling so sick! I'll look forward to our next filming date.

Shannon

I have a calendar up!!! It's sooooo exciting to look up and to the right and see the month, I can't tell you how many times I've looked in that spot so instinctively and expected to see a calendar there. Amazing the things we get used to and expect, even when you haven't put them into place yet! Having a calendar up makes it that much more like home.

Suzie

They keep calling for rain but we are getting gorgeous weather and look at this heather! I went out for some groceries and came home and made some videos but then a bad headache struck and I had to do a ton of resting. Still, a pretty good day.

Jamie

Yay for Art Day. We're starting to work on a series and it's amazing all the things that it's bringing up. I'm so glad that Shannon and I can work together and explore the questions, the possibilities and yes, the inner critic!

Suzie

Overall, this was a very weird week and even Sunday was challenging. So I made waffles. I have to say, I love my new-to-me iPhone. It's great to take photos and share them online as I am cooking without having to upload them with wires. It keeps photos off my computer and there is nothing like real-time food sharing. That said, I actually have zero to write about for my food blog because I have done nothing new. I really hope I can change that soon.

April 1, 2016

Jamie

Yesterday was a super social day for me. I had lunch at Grapefruit Moon with my friend Annabel. It was so cool that they served me coffee in a Sagittarius mug! When I mentioned that it was actually my sign, the waiter said, "I knew you were coming!" And in the evening I went out with some of my mastermind group and we celebrated all the things we've been working on and dreaming of over the past month.

Shannon

Sadly having some Kindle woes. Spent some time trouble shooting but haven't quite sorted it out yet. Kinda throws a wrench in the works of trying to go all digital if it isn't working smoothly. Got a few more things to try, but kinda unexpected to have this happen given it's been so smooth until a recent update. I guess all mediums have their pros and cons!

Suzie

Worked on final touches of some of our clay projects and even got some glazing in. Hot Orchid for this plate I made. The glazes can look completely different. This is supposed to end up hot pink. We'll see! Also turned into a Giant Spider at D&D tonight and was freakishly good at it. Great but very long day.
