Jamie

So far in 2017 I have felt very focused on creating and Sunday was no different - we got back to Art Day YAY!! It was so fun to pull out some oil pastels and embark on another Lisa Congdon Creativebug adventure. Plus, we had tea and treats and good company. Shannon is always such a lovely host. What a great way to start a year of art!

I feel like I'm a bit late to the game on wrapping up the holidays, but I needed to... recover from the holidays. This was my "pre clean up" picture, but I forgot to take a post clean up pic! I watched Die Hard while taking the decorations off the tree. That feels like a fun way to pull things to a close: with explosions! I think that a new tradition is born!

Suzie

It was a pretty quiet weekend mostly at home but the weather warmed up and even though it was precarious to walk on sidewalks covered in wet ice thanks to the rain, we went out to see Kiki's Delivery Service (the movie I shared with you two) at a rep theatre. Unfortunately being out in the cold and wet has my cough going again and the theatre wasn't heated (oh Vancouver...) which was bad for my physical health but getting out of the house was good for my mental health.

Yay for art being a focus already for 2017 and for getting together.

Too funny about Die Hard and taking down the tree Shannon, LOL. Whatever works!

Yay for Art Day! I'm glad that I was able to host, Jamie is an awesome guest :) It was awesome to do the Lisa Congdon exercises. Here is to lots of creating in 2017!

That's awesome you got out to see Kiki's Suzie, I am sorry to here the theatre wasn't heated though. It's challenging when you different kinds of good things for your health aren't always on the same page. I hope the cough goes away you can keep the good feeling of getting out and about.
