It's so awesome that Shannon and I got out to the movies on Friday and that Wild was still in the theatres! I liked it, though not as much as I might have thought. It's got some tough stuff for us but I'm still glad I saw it - and especially that Shannon and I succeeded at our first attempt to go to a movie a month! Gold star!!
The first picture I picked was literally exactly the same as Jamie's! To switch it up I'll include a book that I read all in one go, which was a really big shock to me given that it's a mystery/thriller and that's so not what I normally go for. I just meant to read a little out of curiosity as it's being adapted for TV and before after 2 chapters I put the kettle on and then finished the whole thing! It's about a Chinese-Canadian woman who is a forensic accountant and from Richmond Hill. Obviously, it caught me!

We had rainfall warnings here today but I was determined to walk to my library. I geared up and walked in that crazy rain. They had these cards that say, "Find Your Inner Soul Searcher" at the checkout counter. It had something to do with reading books online or something. But it really spoke to me. Gotta love Vancouver.

Wow, that's wild, Suzie. I thought it was like a test you'd taken and it turned out you were a Soul Searcher! I was all set to go find it online and take it too, LOL!
I'm so glad we got out to the movies Jamie! I was surprized not to connect to Wild as much as I thought I would, but there was still a lot in there that was very powerful, and yes, some tough stuff for sure.
That is an awesome card Suzie, inner soul searcher sounds totally awesome, it feels a bit like a tarot card but also really looks like a phone. YAY for getting to the library!
Late add from me!
Caught by a book! That feels like an adventure story in itself :) It's great when something is so compelling!
LOL to us having the same picture. Usually I actually have the one of you taking that picture, haha!
I was wondering about that movie and thought it might be too tough to watch for me but it may be worthwhile. So glad you both got to the movies. :)
Shannon, that book sounds totally wild! Absolutely fascinating and I think I would have got caught by it too.
