I took myself on a bit of an artist date yesterday. Clearly I carried a lot with me for this event, lol. I sprawled out at the coffee shop and had a wonderful time journaling, doodling and reading. I'm thoroughly enjoying Shooting with Soul by Alessandra Cave. It has already opened up some things for me with photography, both technically and artistically. It was great to have a little break in the midst of lots of preparations! We're so excited Jason's arriving today!
It was so nice to get out and go to Indigo. I was a total beamer when I got to this stack and had to pick up a few of "those Books" that were great prices. It's been a long time since I bought books at a bookstore, and it felt GREAT. Must continue to do this.

Got an invite and free vouchers to try McDonald's new shrimp wrap so Reg took me. Too bad I really, REALLY did not enjoy it, LOL. Will make for an interesting post! It was great to get out of the house because we wanted to. And got groceries to boot. Productive day.

Now that's the way to go on an Artist's Date Jamie - totally prepared! I'm so glad the book gave you technical and artist input on photography, it's so rare (but wonderful) to get that combination.
Sorry to hear you didn't like the shrimp wrap at McDonalds, I'm a little surprized they went with that but they keep trying new things! At least you got groceries too, I bet there was something yummy to enjoy by the end of the day!
I totally love going on artist dates! I had such a good time that I'm looking forward to writing and sharing more about creative outings like this!
"Those books" are awesome! It sounds like a wonderful time, perusing and choosing! I love the design of those ones with the big names!
Oh, I read it that Suzie did like the shrimp, even though she didn't want to. It will be interesting to read about!
And yay to getting out because we want to. I think we all did that!
