Jamie
I couldn't believe this idyllic moment. It's almost like the swans were on stage (though I would have asked them to shimmy a bit stage left, LOL). I captured this moment on our walk after going to the movies this weekend. We saw Elysium, which I didn't like at all. It just really, really wasn't a "Jamie" movie. But there were lovely moments afterwards, like these swans on stage and a nice dinner out. We even saw a bunny in this bit of parkland! You just never know what you'll see when you get out for a walk!
Shannon
This weekend I did another update on Year 2 of Shannon vs The Stuff, although now I think I've realized that I probably should have named this series something else as I'm not versus-ing anything. Oh well, that's what happens when a title can be catchy...you keep using it even fit doesn't quite fit. I have to remember this week to continue the process. I wonder what I'll tackle next.
Suzie
The first room we are prepping to paint is the laundry room, mostly because the previous owners did such a crappy job, that it would be a hard room to screw up. We started with using TSP to clean all the walls. That took most of yesterday. Today, spackling and maybe even... painting! This is not a fast process and is going to get even slower with Reg returning to work today.

I think you are doing awesome Shannon! A totally fantastic job and yes, I am curious what you will be doing next too.
Wow Suzie that's a lot of work for a laundry room! I really hope it helps increase the value of the house.
I can't wait to go check out your videos, Shannon. Your kitchen is looking awesome. Great pic! You must have used a timer :)
Suzie, I can only imagine how much work is ahead. Yay you for getting to it.
Following along with both of your home transformations is inspiring!
Oh, and I got my pic in too :)
omg Jamie what an awesome picture and moment to capture! Wow. Hard to believe that's even Toronto. And you saw a bunny, wow! How that's taking in the nature sites, all on the same day as a big action movie, hehe.
And yep I used a timer! First time on that camera that I did.

Where the heck was that Jamie?! Too bad about the movie. But so glad you got to have good food and see swans and a bunny!
Way to go with the timer Shannon! And I hope you're right, I hope it does help us sell the house and add some value.
It's an amazing pocket of pond just north of the beaches and just south of Queen street. It's quite a treasure.
We still can't believe we saw a bunny!
