Jamie
This is a bit of a weird rewind. This weekend Justin and I went to an open house and it really had me thinking about renovation, transformation, leaving things better, that kind of thing. I love that kind of thing. And because I can focus on it so persistently sometimes I can forget to stop and see how far things have come. This is a stool from Grandma (Dad's mom) that I used to sit at my coaching desk when I first started working in the studio. A couple of years ago we had it beautifully reupholstered in a lovely green fabric. Such a little thing; such a big difference. I'm spending some time paying attention to the improvements we've already made!

I love that you upholstered that piece Jamie, I bet it looks gorgeous! It is amazing how we can transform things to work for us, I love it.
It always makes me feel so good to do things like this. When I was looking around at old pictures of things around our house, I could really see how many things we'd fixed up, repaired, painted and that just made me feel really good.
It's really amazing to know that it's even possible to do this, I know I usually never even think about reupholstering (although now I don't have anything that could be reupholstered!), and how we can get set in the ways of the things we know. Here's for stretching and making things that much shiny-ier :)
