I bought some kitchen stuff for the new place, just tide-over for the in between time before stuff comes in from storage. I'm really excited! It's started to feel really real and really exciting. I'm sure I'll ride the wave of excited to freaked out and back again many times over the next while!

Suzie

Worked on gradients and washes at art school! Long day though. Can't wait until trips to hospital stop.

My Superfriends T-Shirt arrived!!! I'm so excited, although I don't quite remember it being this colour (I thought it was blueish grey). Anyhow, I'm gonna make it work, and make it ROCK! Fun times.

Suzie

Somehow I found time and energy to make a couple of pendants for my store. What a terrible and horrendous week we had. I asked the lunar eclipsing moon to take away all the crappy bad energy and luck that we have been having. Time for good news and a good healthy an happy life.

What an unexpected joy! Justin and his dad came to choir last night and sang California Dreaming by the Mamas and the Papas with Sylvia and I. This was likely a one-and-only occurrence, which made it all the more special.

A very bad day. Worried and feeling like crap. ~ Suzie

It was kind of hilarious to be coaching all my clients with this peanut gallery looking at me!

Continuing with trying to draw daily, or as close to daily as I can get. This one I feel proud of because I stopped when I realized I really needed to rest. I'm not proud of the fact the perspectives off and that it shows a GIANT torso, but I might be able to fix all that. But that is something to try tomorrow. Today, back to resting.

I bought this mini chalkboard when I was at Michaels with my friend Kris and am using it to display earrings for my store. I used Pixelmator to do the text since nobody needs to see my bad handwriting. Despite feeling like crap, I got a couple of photos done and two new items up at the boutique. Now it is time for a hot bath and lemon balm tea before bed.

Back to my regular schedule in the studio means back to early mornings and wow, you can sure feel the season changing. It's back to getting up in the dark. Luckily, I get to witness this and that makes it just a little better :)

Shannon

Yesterday was a long, long, long day. Actually felt more like 3 separate days instead of one! I am sure after a time my memory of it will be a fuzzy as this picture!

Suzie

My first day of art school was a bit of an emotional roller coaster. I went in all smiles and happy but soon realized that even though I tried to participate in the conversations going on, people were getting a weird vibe from me or something. They all grouped together far away from me, making conversation uncomfortable. I felt alienated almost immediately.

To watch the teacher required standing above her and I was in terrible pain immediately. I found a way to watch sitting down thanks to a nice guy in the class but it was too late. It hurt like crazy. I realized I probably wasn't going to make friends in the class and focused on this being fun whimsical Suzie time. Everything else is icing on the cake.

Jamie

Yesterday was a big family celebration for David's birthday and a real treat because Chris is here.  It was so special to have everyone together. We had a wonderful time.

I've been continuing to create drawings while watching movies. I really get inspired, but it does pull me away from the film and sometimes I have to rewind to re-watch bits and pieces. But, for this one I really like how the drawing turned out so it was totally worth it.

Suzie

Took me quite a while to photograph this brooch in a way that makes me happy. I really appreciate your comment about my latest Etsy idea Jamie. I think I'm going to write the publication (I'll comment on that later when I feel better). This brooch is the first time jewelry really spoke directly to me of its magic and meaning. I was out with mom and dad on my birthday and we were at some kind of flea market sale, I think in a mall. I fell in love with this brooch because the rhinestones reminded me of garnet, my birthday crystal. I could stop admiring it. The guy at the booth heard it was my birthday and gave it to me for free. It had a missing rhinestone which mom quickly pointed out to me but I didn't care. This is one of the few talismans that have come into my life and I'm starting to understand why now, after all these years. I don't hold onto a lot of things but this? This I could not let go of. I'm so glad I still have it.

Everything gets cuter - and a little more complicated - with kittens.
