Jamie

I love Art Day! And now that I've figured out the "It's going to be so much better if you make a crockpot meal" it's even better! We sat there, drawing and painting, as a delicious meal cooked away. What better way is there to spend a Sunday afternoon?

Shannon

Art Day in effect! It's so much fun to see what the blank page turns into. What an adventure!

We got to play D&D again now that I am less plagued in real life and it was a real challenge. Here is the entourage going through the city but I am off down the alley in a fight. I was warned not to be so violent and use my head and diplomacy more but I ended up getting beaten to a pulp. OK, after killing the guy in the alley. But I really tried to think creatively and less with my sword. Wasn't easy! But I think I did it and I am hoping for a promotion.

January 11, 2015: Random

Jamie

I'm not sure what could be more random than Alpha the Oodle. When Shannon and I popped into the dollar store, I saw this little guy and almost didn't take him home because he cost $3. It turns out you can doodle on these oodles with permanent marker and that made my creativity go wild. Not only did I bring Alpha home, I went back to the store and bought every Oodle they had!

Shannon

I love when I get a shot like this, even when it's not what I was trying to capture it still looks freaking cool.

Suzie

I had just gotten in from outside at a cafe and had been holding my camera and took this picture and didn't realize at the time my hands had been so warm and the camera so cool that it was all foggy, except where Reg was standing in line to get coffee and hot chocolate. I thought that was weird and random!

Jamie

Yesterday I filmed a video about creating a 365 collage journal. I was so surprised when I looked at the full one I made back in 2011 how much it meant to me so I thought I'd share! The video has my first ever journal flip-through too! I also had an awesome time hanging out with Shannon, having Chinese food and dancing!

Shannon

I think I've really been in a gaming mood these days! I was happy to find out that I can use the handheld controller for Just Dance with my PS4 (thank you Jamie for letting me test it out!), for some reason the camera doesn't pick up my motion consistantly and that's totally been making me less likely to dance. And...dancing... is totally something that shouldn't have such barriers. Plus, I totally have to work on increasing my tournament score….

Suzie

I had such a weird day. In some ways, it was amazing. In other ways, totally frustrating. I did manage to complete my goal of cutting out the pattern AND the fabric for my first set of tights. And then I wanted to cry. And felt all empty. I blame the insomnia which is just kicking my spirit around. I am only conscious when I can't really do anything and want to sleep when I have time and light to do stuff. It's all very frustrating and I am wondering if having daily goals is helping or making things worse?

Jamie

Despite the cold I was able to get out yesterday - yay!! I made sure to stop out for a journal date with a cup of coffee and my beautiful sparkling new pencil case. Thank you, Shannon. I LOVE it!

Shannon

I'm having a lot of fun playing Destiny, and I recently discovered these bounty things that are like mini quests...and there was one to melee tons of baddie before dying. It took a few tries, but I got it! And I still think it's so funny to punch instead of fire in a first person shooter. Ah, ...I'm so easily amused! I guess that's a good thing.

Suzie

I wasn't sure if I was going to share the video of me screwing up Christmas Eve dinner with the Instant Pot but I thought, what the hell? Even my voice-over sucks because I'm still so sick. But this is my reality and that's what I have to share.

Jamie

Yesterday was a wild day - both intense and quiet, hopeful and disappointing. I was thrilled to interview Gregg Levoy and had a great time talking to him. He gave me some beautiful feedback about my interview skills that just made my day! I'd also been really determined to get out to choir and committed to starting yesterday but the cold was just too much for my breathing. On the good side, Shannon and Justin helped me get my book light working. With that and my new beautiful clear clipboard I'll be all set for next week.

Shannon

I didn't take many pictures yesterday, but I love this crazy colourful one of veggies! I am really looking forward to lots of farmers plates. I love having a whack ton of chopped veggies to dive into as a healthy treat. Yum!

Suzie

Another day, another doctor's appointment and I have a lot more to go. Two in one week was hard though but got some tests done and my doctor is very efficient. Too bad she is leaving soon on maternity leave but at least I am getting stuff done.

Jamie

Another day working gently back into the studio. Luckily Jinx kept me company. Though clearly she wasn't too sure about this gnome guy!

Shannon

It's only days into the new year and new TV series are upon us! I took a chance on the period-musical-comedy Galavant, which really just seemed like such a silly idea...I wasn't sure if it would be Medieval Times or Merlin with singing. Turns out, a bit of both (sans-magic...at least so far), and I happily enjoyed it. Very silly, but also smart with catch songs but it isn't singing throughout the entire show. It's only on for 4 weeks, and I think I'll be sticking with it.

Suzie

It was at least +12C today and it wasn't raining so Reg and I went out for lunch at a new café in our neighbourhood and they gave us complimentary Italian Wedding Soup which was fabulous. I went to the library, picked up some dried anchovies and shrimp (which Reg didn't flinch at) and then came home and crashed on the couch. I am hoping that the walk will help me sleep tonight and it did our spirits wonders.

January 6, 2015

Jamie

This full moon has been unbelievably beautiful. I was working into the evening last night when it caught my eye from my window. I even braved the (very) cold to get a better shot! Full Wolf Moon blessings to all!

Shannon

I swear I did not intend for my lunch to be a happy face. Totally happened on it's own accord. And it was yum.

Suzie

Although yesterday was crazy with appointments, I found that I had no interest (or energy) in documentary it. Instead, I wanted to take a photo to remember which yarn I was using to make a Suzie doll. This is the yarn that ended up being scented!!!
