It was so great to spend Art and Netflix time all together! I really enjoyed the movie and of course getting to hang out all together! And thank you both for helping me to do my Buddy Watching challenge for the Viewathon I'm participating in. I am SO excited to watch so much TV. Couch time for the win!

Suzie

Our long weekend was incredibly social and long, it actually started on Friday when I finally got to a diner I have been wanting to visit for forever and see some friends from Nova Scotia who where in Langley for a visit with family. Been going non-stop which is awesome but also means I had to cancel plans for tomorrow because I need a day in bed to recover. So awesome to hang out with you two on Monday as well!

It was a very arty day yesterday! I love spending Sunday mornings reading, watching inspiring art videos and catching up on my classes. I am thoroughly enjoying Between Speech and Silence by Diane Culhane offered through Carla Sonheim. Shannon and I also got back to Art Day - yay!!! And worked on creating fun little books that will be full of animals! It was great to hang out, have fun and be inspired.

Shannon

I can't believe I didn't take any pictures of actual Art Day-ing save this image of the paint trying to become a blobimal all on it's own!

I am so glad to have a bit of relaxed time on my schedule. I'm getting a bit of sleep and yesterday I took a bit of time to paint. This is a lesson from a class I am taking. I feel like it gave me a vehicle that works beautifully with my loves and imagination. I could make a million of these - and I just might.

Shannon

I did a spontaneous live stream of drawing out an Aesop's Fable. I still don't know how I feel about the video, or the result...but I did it!

Well, it was Escher's turn to go to the vet and it was really challenging. He hid under the bed. He bolted under the mirror. He dashed behind the curtains. He was so scared. There was hissing. There was even growling and peeing. But nobody got hurt and we all made it to the vet. The good news is that he's doing very well in terms of his health and body condition. Yay! And when we came back we were amazed that after he ran out of the carrier and hid in the basement for about a minute, he went to the kitchen and lay down! He was totally fine the rest of the night! Thank goodness.

Just a random what-I'm-reading pic. Not sure how Jason would feel about his company there...

Leaving the hospital after the stress test. DONE!!! You know Mom was right, she did not want to do the stress test and it was hard, she would have suffered like the lady next to me did. It would have been too much for her. All this time I thought she should have done it but no, she was right.

I know there isn't much to see here, but if you look at the upper left area and see the reddish blur, that's a bird. A bird that was ATTACKING a squirrel! There were actually a few birds in on it, and the squirrel was going crazy. They were all running, and flying, and leaping around... I have never seen anything like it before.

Well after one day of rest and less stress, a very long day waiting for the fridge guy to come fix our fridge ended with no one showing up and then when I called I was told her forgot to send the guy to our place. We had zero time to get food so we rushed to little markets around here so we could get by for a few days. Unbelievable. Oh and this is Reg's corn. It is loving this hot weather!

Yesterday was the first day I have had off since I can't remember when! I went to the gym, read, even did some art and signed up for a couple of new classes. I am excited to spend some time filling my well. Justin and I went out for a short walk and were surprised to see these cones set up for filming - in our neighbourhood! Hard to imagine. Still, pretty cool.

Shannon

This has been my view as of late. LOTS of resting going on.

Suzie

Been a weird day. Woke up and couldn't see the mountains because of all the smoke. I couldn't smell it but my eyes wouldn't stop watering when I went out to get food. I should have stayed in but I was out of everything. Now that the moving has been put on hold for a few months I gave myself a day to rest a lot. I also used the Instant Pot to help make food and keep things in the apartment cool. It was nice to have a day that wasn't in crisis mode.

After a clear dose of apartment hunting in the summer in Vancouver we have decided to stick with the new lease for six months and then move. I think this may have been one of the longest days of my life.
