Jamie

The highlight of the day was definitely filming our first go at Art & Netflix. What a learning experience! I am looking so forward to where this adventure leads. It was such a fun way to spend time together!

Shannon

It was such a full day and I remembered to take pics at different points, so I actually a fair amount to choose from! It was wild to take quite a long streetcar ride and to go by UofT which looks absolutely gorgeous this time of year. I even saw someone who looked like they just graduated (robes and hat and all!). And one bonus to streetcar over subway is that I could actually check and response to email, and browse Instagram. But most of the time I just stared out the window :)

Suzie

Dark and dreary... Hanging out with you two was definitely the highlight of my day! My birthday cheesecake for Reg blew up in my Instant Pot. Kind of symbolic.

Jamie

The big activity this weekend was heading up to Barrie to deliver a workshop on journaling for Threads of Life, an organization that supports people who have lost a loved one through a workplace accident. It is amazing that some people come year after year as a part of their healing and grieving. I am honoured to have spent some time with a lovely group and truly help that journaling will support them on the road ahead.

Shannon

I love when the light plays with shadows on the wall. I missed seeing the tree outside my window in this shape, I wonder if it's because I moved in in February but that is the way I feel like it's supposed to be!

Suzie

Another dreary weekend stuck at home. I figured out that to get food photos that have some light I had to take everything outside so I opened up our kitchen window, put the soup outside and all the stuff I needed which made photographing outside easier. At least I accomplished something and made this navy bean, kale and chorizo soup.

The sun they promised never really came out yesterday but the rain halted and I got out for a walk. I discovered these HUGE mushrooms right down the street from me, I have never seen anything like them. The colours, the size... Absolutely amazing. I picked up some food and rested for most of the day. It has been a long and busy week.

Jamie

This continues to be an incredibly intense week of work. Yesterday I filmed my Fauxbonichi class and it reminded me how much I absolutely love keeping one of these journals. I really miss it when I don't do it and hope to renew my practice.

Shannon

A slice-of-life pic for the day. It was nice to get some Glue Journal time in before dinner. One of the things I am really enjoying is that I can take as much or as little time with it as I like. I can do just one page, or (shocker) and unfinished page, or I can keep going and going til I run out of steam. Really cool.

Suzie

Had a very long day today helping out a friend and was rewarded with a little sunshine! Which is supposed to hang around with us tomorrow too which is so exciting!

Jamie

Yesterday was a very busy day in which I was less productive than I would have liked. It's a full week this week with Journal Sampler, Journal Club and me leading a journal workshop on the weekend. Clearly all the hustle and bustle didn't bother the kittens! I would have liked to have curled up with them and taken a nap! Maybe that would have made me more productive.

Shannon

It was an oddly quiet/late start/actually mostly rested kind of day. And what went hand in hand with that was not many pictures to choose from... therefore... here is a snack pic!

Suzie

After having a few crazy days in a row, it was time to take it easy during another day of rain warnings. So dark and wet!!! I FINALLY caught up with Grey's Anatomy too. So it wasn't a complete waste.

Jamie

The day after Halloween and it was time to host another party - a Glue Journal Party for the Journal Lab class. It was a fun way to end the day. The rest of the time I was working on a workshop I am leading this Saturday.

Shannon

It's been a while since I've been up to day with the book club I'm following but this month I was! Yay! I didn't love the book but I loved watching the ladies chat during the hangout.

Suzie

Only Anna Olson could get me out of the house the day after Halloween during a crazy dark rainy night for her cookbook signing! I am so glad she did, I could cry just looking at this photograph. This moment meant so much to me. In a time when baking is demonized, to meet such an amazing woman and teacher stand up for baking and treats... It just meant the world to me.

Jamie

Gosh, it was great to take Halloween off to feast, relax and enjoy. We had an amazing meal and watched some fun movies. Just what I needed!

Shannon

Happy Halloween everyone!! It was such a fun day and this pumpkin totally rocked! Fun times.

Halloween 2016

Suzie

We had a couple of dozen trick or treaters and one crazy night of fireworks! I am now going through Halloween withdrawal and trying to remind myself that magical and fun things can happen throughout the year and I can get out my witch's hat any time I want.
