Shannon

I'm totally loving the show Selfie. I rarely watch comedies, so when one really works for me it's such a treat. The flip side to it was that this one had me laughing so hard I was distracted from what I was doing and had to keep rewinding. It's such a fun show.

Suzie

I feel like I am reliving my childhood these days with some of the stuff I have been picking up. My crafts room needed more containers so I picked some up and got little bags for "crochet on the go" which was Power Puff Girls and Hello Kitty on them. Much cheaper than buying crochet needle carrying case from Michaels. It was a treat today to go out but man, there is weird energy out there. Four cars wouldn't stop for me on my walk so I am glad to still be around!

Shannon

I know you've both seen this pic before, but it seemed to perfectly represent the day so I wanted to share it here too.

Suzie

Another crazy-dark day so I decided to hang out in my crafts room, work on a wire doll and hang out with Jamie! I love having your videos to keep me company which I craft. It rocks!

Jamie

Last night was guitar class. It was a bit of a tough one. We're moving into a piece with lots and lots fo new notes and it's really taking me time to find my way. On a brighter note, we played our first quartet and it sounded awesome!! What fun to play music together.

Shannon

CAUGHT! Oh my. Someone is liking to sit on the computer again. Silly muffin.

Suzie

I finally FINISHED something! It's helping my self-esteem a little. I keep feeling like I am gathering things but not actually doing anything with them. This crocheted Hello Kitty is for my cookbook review and I also made mini cupcakes but they wouldn't come out of the tin and were a bit of a disaster. Albeit delicious disaster. Still, this is much prettier than the final foodie product!

Jamie

Since November 1 I've been working on creating the Year of Dreams book. So far it's been a  prety easy process of gathering all of the work I have done for the e-courses. I've got over 100 pages already and am thinking about how I can incorporate dreamboard stories throughout. It's amazing to see how many years have gone into this practice and what has come together from that time.

Shannon

I didn't take many pics this day, but I did Instagram a few including the start of my Morning Pages. Because the picture takes in portrait, but shows a square, I always forget it's in a rotation position that I rarely use. It looks soooooooooooooo long.

Suzie

We tried to get to the walk in clinic but there was a 4 hour wait and they said they were taking no other patients that day. So we ended up at Starbucks for hot chocolate and mocha instead. Apparently that is the norm at walk ins here since there are so few doctors.

Jamie

I had hoped to get my afghan squares completed by Halloween. Though I didn't make that deadline, I'm still making great progress. I completed this one yesterday. It took a lot of concentration and I did so well until one row where I had several bobbles. I guess I've learned that I can't knit something complicated while watching The Voice! I'm just too deeply invested.

Shannon

Although Halloween was Friday, it was fun to see the Halloween spirit continue online (and offline) all weekend long.

Suzie

The big event this weekend for me was getting to Michaels all by myself! It was so liberating. I had a list so my brain wouldn't blank once I walked in the door and I stayed on budget. Reg and I also worked really hard on getting my crafts room more organized, putting up my artwork and even got me a wifi extender which will hopefully mean next time we Skype it will be from my crafts room!

Random: November 2, 2014

Jamie

On this day in 2010we were getting on the BART to come home from San Francisco. We had a phenomenal time and I have so many good memories from exploring that city together.

Shannon

I don't think it can get more random than this: an inadvertantly taken picture from the inside of my pocket!

Suzie

I was pleasantly surprised and a little startled to see Grumpy Cat at Michaels! I am sure people thought I was crazy when I started laughing when I saw him and then take his photo.

Jamie

Shannon made this Halloween week so much fun! It seemed like everyday I would discover some new ghoulish treasure somewhere around the house! That a fun way to start the tricks and treats early!

Shannon

It's all about Halloween-ing time! It was so much fun to celebrate, and to hide some Halloween treats around the house too, hehe.

Suzie

Reg and I had a wonderful Halloween together. It was the first where he didn't have to race home after work and put together a rushed Halloween. We didn't know if we would get a lot of trick or treaters but we sure did! Over 40 of them. And things seem to have changed here. Instead of fireworks feeling like it's anti-Halloween, tonight it felt like it was in celebration. It was awesome.
