I love having Art Day on Sunday! We don't always manage it but when we do, it is such a treat. I thought it would be fun to take pics of my palette and Shannon's. I bet every time we look at them we'll be able to tell which one is mine and which is hers! This one's pretty atypical for me but still, i can recognize Shannon's colours on the right!

I was struck by a blank page blinkity-blink paralysis yesterday. I can't remember the last time that's happened. It took me a while to get over it, but decided to just make marks on the page and go from there! It didn't end up being my fave piece, but it was... a piece. So yay for that :)

Reg and I had an unusually social weekend. It was board game day at St. Mary's University again (I played that epic zombie game last year) and Reg and I got to check out lots of games like these freaky creatures from a very complex game called Mansions of Madness. Way too in-depth to play there but it was awesome checking it out. We played Zombie Dice with a really great group of people too and other games like a Walking Dead board game. We also went to see the new Captain America movie and visited with Reg's mom too. No work done on the house so it was a bit of a fun break.

I have been completely delighted by robin sightings this week. It makes me believe that maybe, just maybe, spring has tentatively arrived.

I bought these tulips last week and I've been blown away by all the opportunities to appreciate their beauty. Even though they are clearly now fading and ready to give up their petals, their shape, their dance, their beauty is astonishing. I took so many shots of them at this stage. What a joy and inspiration these little bunch of tulips has been.

It was 7C and sort of sunny so I finally got out for my first walk of 2014! I went to the dollar store and got some stuff for prepping the house but also got the perfect-sized notebook for drawing.

Went up to the old hood yesterday for my yearly checkup and was really hit by this building being totally gone. So much has changed where we grew up. Suzie, I remember you and I having such a good time walking through the nursery when you were here. What a beautiful spot. What treasures!And of course we have so many memories from its earlier incarnation. Yesterday all of the change kind of made me sad.

Nothing like a super-up-close cat pic to get smiles all around. At least, hopefully it does!

The last of my crafts room is packed away. Now the furniture will move into our little library and become an office and my crafts room will become a new bedroom. I won't lie, it was hard. I have no idea where we are going to store all these boxes but for me, the packing is done.

What fun! We've had such a blast with Just Dance 2014 that I just had to get Just Dance 4 as well. And they are right - let the party begin! Such a great variety of styles. I love too how each version has some of its own fun ways - like in this one if you get more mojo points you spin and win something. So fun! Suzie, is this the one you have?

I packed up  most of my crafting supplies yesterday. Then picked up the embroidery machine, finally! We stopped by the storage place and Reg was not happy with how expensive it is so now he wants to store things at home instead, possibly in our shed. And the moving house/selling drama continues...

I am just so delighted to have bought some tulips and have them all around the house! These white beauties are in my studio and I was so surprised by how this shot turned out. It's like this flower took in all the light around it and then let it glow!

Yes, more YT pics (believe you-me, it's a better choice than my attempt at covert photography pre-stART). I filmed 2 vids after stART, and as you both mentioned how clear my image was with this webcam I uploaded it in a different image quality and I think it now actually is an HD vid. I hope it looks better because it takes a while to render the image. Anyhow, the one that is up is Disney A to Z tag which was hilarious and I had no idea how little Disney I knew. I didn't actually take any photos yesterday so here's my Loki Snail. I put the helmet on the wrong way when I took the photo! It was awesome chatting yesterday for stART and am so relieved the tech went OK.

One of my favourite things lately is just taking pictures of what happens to be lying on my desk. Yesterday I got ready for my video from my desk and so I had some beauty supplies lying about. I have to say I invested in this beautiful set of brushes and they are a joy to use every time. They work so well and they feel just lovely too.

There we have my newly named (but 2nd time made) Chicken Crisper Casserole! Chicken, veggies and pasta plus powdered cream of vegetable soup made into a roux and then a sauce and voila! Casserole! Yum!

My Recipe to Riches journey is coming to an end. I have to say I worked my butt off and it was a ton of fun. Reg took me out for groceries yesterday because yet more stormy winter weather is here and so I could get a photo of the finalists of the contest. Apparently everyone with the show is super thrilled with my work so I could not be happier. That said, my back has healed a lot and I am looking forward to getting back to my food and kitchen soon.
